Private Lending Backed by Real Estate Experience

Thomas worked at Susquehanna International Group for 25 years, most recently as an Associate Director managing equity options trading. In 2011, he founded TPD Real Estate, which currently owns and operates a portfolio of 36 homes in the Philadelphia area. Thomas is a principal of Crowdcopia and he focuses on raising and managing capital for the company as well as investor relations. Thomas received a BBA from The University of Michigan with a concentration in Investments and Real Estate Finance.

Luke realized his passion for real estate in 2001, when he purchased his first building in Jersey City, NJ. After completing a few other projects, he founded Bell Town Properties which has acquired, renovated and rented 46 houses. In 2016, Luke co-founded Crowdcopia, a private moneylender, currently focused in the Philadelphia area. His responsibilities include loan origination, prospecting and providing a pleasurable customer experience as well as software training and website management. Luke received a BA in economics from Rollins College.

Craig LaCagnina is a co-founder and principal of Crowdcopia LLC, a private lender servicing the Greater Philadelphia area. Craig oversees the company’s construction department which creates all initial renovation estimates, inspects and verifies the work completed on all draw requests and offers construction guidance and consulting to borrowers. Prior to Crowdcopia, he co-founded C&L Investments and was head of construction management. Prior to C&L, Craig worked as a trader at Susquehanna International Group and at Goldman Sachs. Craig also worked in his family’s construction business since the age of 14. Since 2008 he has led the full gut renovation of over 300 single family homes as well as ground-up construction of the C&L headquarters comprising a commercial office and warehouse. Craig received a BS in finance from St John’s University.

Jon started his real estate career when he co-founded C&L Investments LLC in 2008 to purchase, renovate and manage single family homes in the Greater Philadelphia area. From 2008-2019, C&L acquired and renovated over 200 properties which were then rented on the Section 8 House Choice Voucher Program. During this time, Jon also created an independent construction company, real estate brokerage and property management company. Jon is a co-founder and principal of Crowdcopia and he manages the company’s operations and quality control department, including the underwriting, origination and servicing processes. Jon received a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College and MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School. He is a licensed real estate broker in Pennsylvania.

Christopher helps streamline Crowdcopia’s loan approvals, guiding borrowers through the application process with accuracy and efficiency.

Matt reviews budgets and construction plans to ensure accurate, timely draw inspections that keep projects moving forward.

Daniel manages the construction lending process, coordinating inspections and payments so investors can stay focused on their projects.

Liam maintains Crowdcopia’s digital systems, ensuring applications and communications are secure, reliable, and easy to use.
